Merlin is seriously overhyped. It’s an inevitable and it’s needed but it’s nowhere near ready for prime time. What’s that? The FAA - the most risk averse, slowest moving, poorly managed government agency of them all - and the one that holds all the keys to Merlin’s future. One last thing - all the GE blah blah - just that, they are dead quiet. I also “gave” - sit this one out folks.
Nice article. I’m also bullish Merlin and believe in the massive potential upside here.
Reliable’s lead may be a narrow one, retrofitting a single airframe, the Cessna Caravan, for full pilot removal in cargo. Merlin is chasing a bigger surface area across the KC 135, C 130J, King Air and more, with a reduced crew approach that clears certification faster and taps a different customer base in defense logistics. Will be interesting.
Reliable is private and value is 2x Merlin’s market cap here

Really enjoyed this piece. I second your questions and hesitance around the MRLN bull-thesis.
Did you go to Vegas for the Ian Cassel Microcap thingy?
