My investing tech stack
The tools I use every day
Hi hunters,
I’m a sucker for improving my workflows and testing new tools.
Here are the tools we use in our investing process.
Let me know in the comments what your tech stack looks like!
Our stockbroker: Interactive Brokers
The number 1 question we receive: It looks like a great company, but I cannot buy it with my current broker.
That’s where IBKR comes in.
It allows us to invest easily and at low cost worldwide. We trade stocks in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the UK.
It’s the only broker I know that has this breadth of possibilities.
Our financial software: Fiscal.ai
I wrote about fiscal.ai in depth here.
I think there’s about 8 hours left to grab their 25% discount if you’re interested.
We have been using fiscal for several years now.
We mainly use it to quickly have a first look at a company in the first hour of our due diligence.
Some advantages of fiscal.ai I really like:
The main dashboard gives you a snapshot of a company
Creating custom financial templates (we like the per-share metrics)
Create custom KPIs
A solid visual interface
Our favorite AI LLM: Claude.ai
We use Claude Code to build tools and analyze investments. You can find more details about how we use and master Claude in our second newsletter, "Invest with AI."
Claude Chat and projects can be used for analyzing a stock with the right prompts and data → See an example here
Claude cowork and skills can be used for repeat work and analyzing a series of companies at once → See how that is done here
Claude code can be used to build custom tools, often Python scripts with a financial API that can do a lot of work for you on auto → See how that is done here
Our financial data API: EODHD
EODHD provides the backbone for our personal investing tools. It provides up to 30 years of worldwide financial data for over 100,000 public companies. The value-to-price ratio is unparalleled in the data it provides.
You can check it out here.
Easy money transfer: Wise
Not only are we a shareholder, but we have also been using Wise for multiple years, since we trade in multiple currencies worldwide.
When you use the Wise app for a cross-border money transfer, and see how seamless and transparent it works, you really wonder what the legacy banks are doing.
Do they want to get disrupted?

That’s the main tech stack. Seems quite simple, right?
What’s yours? Is it more complex? Why?
May the markets be with you, always!
Kevin
Note: I do have a Mac mini, which runs multiple jobs and manages my second brain. But I would need multiple articles to explain how this is set up. It’s not that simple 😉
